Welcome to the Canadian Centre for Pet Loss Bereavement (CCPLB), a safe space for you to visit and feel connected through your grieving process. By offering a space where bereaved animal lovers could locate specialized counselling, public education, articles, and media initiatives, CCPLB aims to turn grief into healing.
Often times when we part from a beloved pet, we feel intense emotions such as deep grief and sadness, anger, pain, and guilt. Not having the proper support to help work through these feelings only complicates our bereavement process, and we can become isolated and depressed. You do not have to deal with this grief alone!

Mission
The CCPLB was formed in 2002, initially as a service within a small private practice, out of a need to address a lack of resources available in Canada to bereaved pet lovers. Over time the CCPLB has evolved to a a national level free public service with the aim to raise awareness to the importance of grieving a beloved animal companion. CCPLB is not a business, thus we regret that do not have available staff to answer individual requests at this point, rather we aim at providing a database of qualified professional support , articles, ressources, and community links.
Our purpose is to:
Provide SUPPORT and Professional Counselling during grief associated with the loss of a pet
NORMALIZE the process of bereavement
Raise AWARENESS about the issues through Public Education and Media Exposure
Provide RESOURCES nation-wide
